Located in Trenton, MO, in Grundy County, you will find Luck Dog Embroidery. Established in 1996, by owner Debbie Kinnison, Lucky Dog Embroidery got its start in the basement of her home after her youngest child started first grade.I had been sewing letter jackets and altering wedding gowns for several years, but was intrigued by commercial embroidery machines.
“I worked in my basement for about 6 months and had some loyal customers. I thought I would open a retail store in downtown Trenton. Within a year I took my largest order to date from the local food plant, about 540 shirts. They wanted every employees to wear a polo for a uniform. That order gave me a stable footing.”
Eventually I subcontracted to a screen printer and bought a second embroidery machine. In 2010 I purchased a building downtown that was built in 1904. I went to work completely refurbish the first floor, making every effort to keep the 1900’s charm and. I renamed the business Lucky Dog Embroidery after her move downtown. I brought my Jack Russell terrier, Jake, to work with me. He is the lucky dog that inspired the new name. He passed away in 2018
Today, Lucky Dog Embroidery can embroider on hats, jackets, shirts, anything that can be put in a hoop!I also bought a t-shirt vinyl cutting machine and can print small t-shirt orders. Laser engraving in the newest addition in 2018
